This article covers Ace 68 Air-specific features, lighting questions, and troubleshooting steps.
Note: The Ace 68 Air and Ace 68 use the same M HUB configuration platform, and many setup and troubleshooting steps apply to both models. Model-specific features, firmware, and lighting behavior may differ.
1. What Is WASD Direct Connection?
WASD Direct Connection gives the WASD keys priority within the keyboard’s input-processing system while maintaining full-key rollover.
Benefits
- Priority processing for WASD movement inputs
- Support for rapid directional input
- Maintains full-key rollover
- Designed for movement-heavy games such as FPS titles
Tip: This feature can be useful in movement-heavy games, including titles such as VALORANT, Counter-Strike 2, and Apex Legends.
2. What Is ADC Direct Connection?
ADC Direct Connection prioritizes signal processing for supported keys within the keyboard’s input architecture. It is designed to support more consistent processing during rapid key input.
Benefits
- Priority processing for supported key signals
- Support for rapid key input
- More consistent signal handling
- Designed for fast-paced and competitive gaming
3. What Is the Difference Between RGB and ARGB?
ARGB stands for Addressable RGB. It allows supported LEDs or lighting zones to be controlled individually, enabling more detailed lighting patterns and transitions.
| RGB | ARGB |
|---|---|
| Standard lighting effects | More detailed lighting effects |
| LEDs or lighting zones may share the same behavior | Supported LEDs or lighting zones can be controlled individually |
| Standard color patterns and transitions | More detailed color patterns and dynamic transitions |
Note: ARGB lighting on the Ace 68 Air supports customizable colors and more detailed dynamic lighting effects.
4. What Is RT Smart?
RT Smart is a Rapid Trigger support feature designed to improve input stability when using sensitive Rapid Trigger settings.
What RT Smart Helps With
- Supports more consistent Rapid Trigger behavior
- May help reduce unintended inputs at sensitive settings
- Supports more consistent key-release detection
- May provide a more consistent experience with sensitive trigger settings
Tip: RT Smart can be useful when using low actuation values or highly sensitive Rapid Trigger settings. Test the feature both on and off to find the setting that best matches your preference.
5. RGB Lighting Color Does Not Match the Setting
The color shown in M HUB is a visual reference. Actual keyboard lighting may appear slightly different because of display calibration, LED characteristics, brightness, switch material, lighting mode, and ambient light.
Possible Causes
- The selected lighting mode changes how the color is displayed
- The brightness is too low
- The keyboard is in calibration mode
- The switch is not fully seated or correctly aligned
- The switch light guide is not aligned with the LED
- The switch housing color affects the visible lighting color
- Ambient light affects how the color appears
- The M HUB color preview differs slightly from the physical LED output
Solutions
- Switch to another lighting mode in M HUB.
- Increase the keyboard brightness.
- Exit calibration mode if the keyboard is currently being calibrated.
- Turn off and disconnect the keyboard, then remove the keycap and check whether the switch is fully seated and correctly aligned.
- Reconnect the keyboard.
- Check for a supported firmware update.
Note: The switch housing color may affect the final lighting appearance. For example, an orange switch base may make white lighting appear slightly warmer or pink. A minor color shift caused by the switch material may be expected.
If one LED remains off, displays a significantly different color, or flickers across multiple lighting modes, please contact MCHOSE Support.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Ace 68 Air use the same M HUB software as the Ace 68?
Yes. The Ace 68 Air and Ace 68 use the same M HUB configuration platform. Trigger Settings, Performance Settings, Key Remapping, Advanced Keys, and Firmware Update are configured in a similar way.
Important: Always use firmware intended for the exact keyboard model. Do not install firmware for another model unless the official update tool identifies it as compatible.
Do I need to manually enable WASD Direct Connection?
No. WASD Direct Connection operates automatically and does not require manual setup in M HUB.
Should I enable RT Smart?
RT Smart may be useful when using Rapid Trigger with low actuation values or other sensitive settings. Test it both on and off to determine which option provides your preferred balance of responsiveness and stability.
Why does the lighting look different from the M HUB preview?
The M HUB color preview is a visual reference. Actual lighting may vary because of display calibration, LED characteristics, switch material, brightness, lighting mode, and ambient light.
What should I do if some RGB lights are not working?
- Switch between several lighting modes.
- Increase the keyboard brightness.
- Exit calibration mode if it is active.
- Reconnect the keyboard.
- Reset the lighting settings in M HUB.
- Turn off and disconnect the keyboard, then check whether the affected switch is fully seated and correctly aligned.
- Check for a supported firmware update.
If the LED remains off, flickers, or displays an abnormal color across multiple lighting modes, please contact MCHOSE Support.
