This guide helps you get started with your MCHOSE Ace 68 or Ace 68 Air magnetic switch keyboard. You will learn how to connect the keyboard, use basic shortcut keys, adjust lighting effects, and access the user manual.

Note: The Ace 68 and Ace 68 Air are magnetic switch keyboards and support wired connection only.

Wired Connection Setup

Follow the steps below to connect your keyboard to a computer.

Plug the USB Type-C end of the cable into the USB-C port on the keyboard.
Plug the USB-A end of the cable into a USB port on your computer.
Wait for the indicator light or backlight to turn on. This means the keyboard has been connected successfully.

Tip: For the most stable connection, connect the keyboard directly to your computer. Avoid using external docking stations, USB hubs, or adapters when setting up the keyboard for the first time.

Backlight Control Shortcuts

You can adjust the keyboard backlight directly with Fn shortcuts.

Switch Between Windows and macOS Mode

If the Win and Alt keys appear to be swapped, the keyboard may be in a different operating system mode. Use the shortcuts below to switch modes.

Note: Make sure the keyboard is in the correct system mode for your device. Using the wrong mode may cause the Win, Alt, Command, or Option keys to behave differently.

Factory Reset

If the keyboard is not working as expected, you can restore it to factory settings.

Press and hold Fn + Esc for 5 seconds.
Wait for the keyboard to reset.
Reconnect the keyboard and test it again.

Important: A factory reset will restore keyboard settings to default. Custom trigger settings, lighting effects, and key remapping may need to be configured again in M HUB.

Using M HUB

M HUB allows you to customize keyboard settings, including trigger parameters, key remapping, lighting effects, macros, performance settings, firmware updates, and more.

You can use either the M HUB Web Driver or the M HUB Desktop Driver.

No. The Ace 68 and Ace 68 Air are magnetic switch keyboards and support wired connection only.

Why is my keyboard not detected by M HUB?

Make sure the keyboard is connected directly to your computer with a stable USB cable. Avoid using a docking station or external USB hub. If you are using the web version of M HUB, please open it with Chrome or Edge and allow browser access to HID devices.

How do I turn off the keyboard backlight?

Press Fn + T to turn the keyboard backlight on or off. You can also turn off lighting effects in M HUB under the lighting settings page.

What should I do if the Win and Alt keys are swapped?
