4. Connection Modes
USB Wired Mode
- Connect the USB-C cable to the mouse.
- Connect the other end to a computer USB port.
- Wait for the operating system to recognize the mouse.
USB Wired Mode allows you to use the mouse while charging and is recommended for firmware updates.

MCHOSE HUB allows you to customize each programmable button according to your workflow or gaming preferences. Button assignments are saved to the mouse's onboard memory and remain effective after disconnecting from the software.
Tip
Only programmable buttons can be reassigned. The available options may vary depending on the mouse model.

Some online games prohibit the use of macros. Please ensure your configuration complies with the rules of the game or software you are using.

11. DPI Settings

Within MCHOSE HUB, you can customize the dock lighting to match your desktop setup.

Note
Lighting customization is available only on models that include RGB charging dock functionality. Standard A7 V2 models without the charging dock do not support these lighting options.
13. Performance Settings
MCHOSE HUB provides a range of advanced performance options, allowing you to fine-tune the A7 V2 for different usage scenarios—from everyday productivity to competitive gaming.
Tip
Unless otherwise specified, all performance settings are stored in the mouse's onboard memory after they are applied.
Sleep Settings
The Sleep Settings feature helps extend battery life by automatically putting the mouse into sleep mode after a period of inactivity.
Default Sleep Behavior
- The mouse enters sleep mode after 3 minutes of inactivity by default.
- Available in 2.4GHz Wireless and BT modes.
- Sleep settings can be customized through MCHOSE HUB.
How to Change the Sleep Timer
- Open MCHOSE HUB.
- Navigate to Performance Settings.
- Select Sleep Settings.
- Choose your preferred timeout (such as 1 minute, 5 minutes, or Never).

Tip
If you primarily use the mouse for gaming, setting a longer sleep timeout or disabling sleep can reduce the delay when resuming use.
Wake from Sleep
After entering sleep mode, the mouse can be reactivated as follows:
- Move the mouse.

Note for Optical Switch Models
Models equipped with optical switches cannot be awakened by button presses while sleeping. Simply move the mouse to wake it.
Polling Rate
Polling Rate refers to how frequently the mouse reports its position and button status to the computer.

Higher polling rates require more CPU resources. On lower-performance systems or unsupported games, extremely high polling rates may reduce FPS or affect overall system performance.
Button Debounce Time
Button Debounce Time controls how long the mouse waits before registering another click after a button press.

This feature is available only on models equipped with the PAW3395 or PAW3950 sensor.

Recommendation
For most users, the default setting of 0° provides the most accurate tracking. Adjust this option only if you consistently move the mouse at an angle.

16. Understanding Sensor FPS
Sensor FPS (Frames Per Second) refers to how many surface images the optical sensor captures every second.
Unlike Polling Rate, which determines how often data is sent to the computer, Sensor FPS determines how frequently the sensor analyzes movement.

Check Firmware Version
- Open MCHOSE HUB.
- Connect the mouse using USB or 2.4GHz Wireless mode.
- Open the Settings page.
- View the current firmware version.
Note
Firmware updates are available only when the mouse is connected in Wired or 2.4GHz Wireless mode. BT mode does not support firmware updates.
Firmware Update Recommendations
- Keep both the mouse firmware and receiver firmware up to date.
- Use the original USB Type-C cable during updates whenever possible.
- Do not disconnect the mouse while the update is in progress.
Important
If both the receiver and the mouse require updates, always update the receiver firmware first, followed by the mouse firmware.
