1. Buttons and Scroll Wheel
Why do the main buttons move slightly?
A small amount of lateral movement may occur because the buttons are separate moving components. Minor movement may not affect normal clicking.
Contact MCHOSE Customer Support if the movement is excessive, causes rubbing, produces unintended clicks, or affects normal operation.
What is button pre-travel?
Pre-travel is the movement before a button actuates. A small amount may occur because of the button and switch structure.
Further inspection may be required if you notice:
- Excessive movement before actuation
- A two-stage clicking sensation
- Sticking or inconsistent actuation
- Grinding or unusually loud mechanical noise
Why do the left and right buttons feel or sound different?
The two buttons use separate switches, so minor differences in sound, resistance, or feel may occur.
If one button feels loose, sticks, fails to register, or is significantly different from the other, contact MCHOSE Customer Support.
Why can I hear a spring sound?
A faint and consistent spring sound may occur because of the switch structure. If the sound becomes loud, irregular, or is accompanied by inconsistent clicks, further inspection may be required.
Why does the scroll wheel move slightly from side to side?
A small amount of lateral clearance may be required for the wheel to rotate and click normally.
Contact support if the wheel rubs against the shell, skips steps, scrolls in the opposite direction, or fails to register middle-button clicks.
2. Appearance and Build
Why does the mouse make a sound when shaken?
Minor internal movement may sometimes be audible in a lightweight mouse. No pronounced rattling should occur during ordinary mouse movement.
If a part appears loose or the sound is accompanied by abnormal operation, contact support and provide a short video.
Why can I hear a faint sound from the sensor?
A faint electronic sound may occasionally be audible when the optical sensor is active. Sound levels can vary by sensor and operating mode.
If the sound is loud, continues when the mouse is idle, or is accompanied by tracking problems, contact MCHOSE Customer Support.
Why does the mouse rock on a flat surface?
- Check whether protective films have been removed from the mouse feet.
- Make sure replacement feet are installed evenly.
- Test the mouse on another flat surface.
- Check for debris under the mouse feet.
If the base remains uneven on multiple flat surfaces, contact support with a video showing the issue.
What should I do if the new mouse has an odor?
Place the mouse in a clean, well-ventilated area before use. If the odor persists, becomes stronger, or causes discomfort, stop using the product and contact MCHOSE Customer Support.
Is the K7 waterproof?
No. The K7 does not have a stated waterproof or water-resistance rating.
- Keep liquids away from the mouse.
- Do not wash, rinse, or immerse it.
- Do not apply liquid directly to the buttons, sensor, USB port, or charging contacts.
If liquid enters the device, disconnect it and stop using it until it has been safely inspected.
3. Product Information
What are the K7 dimensions and weight?
- Length: 127.3 mm
- Width: 63.8 mm
- Height: 39.9 mm
- Approximate Weight: 59g
Measurements may vary slightly because of measurement methods and production tolerances.
Which sensor does my K7 use?
K7 models may use PAW3311, PAW3395, or PAW3950 sensors. Check your product page, packaging, or MCHOSE HUB device information to confirm your version.
Does the K7 support drag clicking?
Supported models provide adjustable button debounce settings. Drag-click results depend on the switch, grip, technique, operating system, software, and debounce configuration.
MCHOSE does not guarantee a specific drag-click rate or compatibility with individual games.
4. Mouse Feet
Can the mouse feet be replaced?
Yes. Mouse feet are consumable components and may wear over time.
- Remove the original feet carefully.
- Remove any remaining adhesive.
- Install the replacement feet evenly.
- Remove any protective film before use.
Important: Do not install replacement feet on top of the original feet. Stacking them changes the sensor height and may affect tracking.
Why do glass mouse feet show wear?
Visible polishing or wear can develop as the feet move across a mouse pad. Wear rate depends on the mouse-pad material, cleanliness, and usage conditions.
Replace the feet if wear becomes uneven or affects glide and tracking.
5. Connection Questions
What is the difference between BT and 2.4GHz Wireless Mode?
| Feature | BT Mode | 2.4GHz Wireless Mode |
|---|---|---|
| Recommended Use | Everyday work and portable devices | Gaming |
| USB Receiver | Not required on compatible devices | Required |
| MCHOSE HUB | Not supported | Supported |
| Responsiveness | Designed for general use | Designed for lower-latency gaming use |
Will saved button settings work in BT Mode?
Supported settings saved to onboard memory may remain active after switching to BT Mode. Features that require active MCHOSE HUB communication will be unavailable.
6. Basic Troubleshooting
The buttons work but the cursor does not move
- Clean the sensor area with a soft, dry cotton swab.
- Test another clean mouse pad.
- Avoid transparent glass and highly reflective surfaces.
- Reconnect the cable or receiver.
- Test another connection mode.
The cursor freezes or stutters
- Check the battery level.
- Move the receiver closer to the mouse.
- Keep the receiver away from strong wireless interference.
- Reduce the polling rate to 1000Hz for testing.
- Test the mouse in USB Wired Mode.
Software becomes slower at a high polling rate
Higher polling rates increase the amount of mouse data processed by the computer. If a game or application becomes less responsive, reduce the polling rate and close unnecessary background applications.
7. Cleaning and Care
- Turn off the mouse before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
- Keep the sensor and mouse feet free from dust.
- Do not apply liquid directly to the mouse.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents.
- Do not disassemble the mouse.
If an issue remains after completing the basic checks, see K7 Driver & Hardware Issues.
