Recommended USB Connection

Magnetic switch keyboards have high power requirements; the following interface is recommended.

Laptops

Prioritize rear-mounted USB ports, as these connect directly to the motherboard's power supply module, offering superior power stability compared to front-mounted ports.

Desktops

Prioritize motherboard rear-panel USB ports, as they have shorter power supply paths and more power redundancy.

Note: Do not connect via an external expansion dock, as this may cause unstable connection or unexpected key behavior.

Common Issues with the Mix 87

1. Are some buttons malfunctioning or not responding when pressed?

Press and hold Fn + ESC for 5 seconds to reset the keyboard and try again.
Go to the driver's other settings, check for firmware updates, and update to the latest firmware version.
Use a keycap puller to remove the corresponding key switch and check if the switch can be pressed normally. Replace with a spare switch, manually calibrate it in the driver, and then test again. Two spare switches are included.
Go to the driver software's Trigger Settings page and manually calibrate the key once using the key calibration function.
Try a different computer connection port. It is recommended to connect directly to the computer's host port, not the docking station port. Try a different connection cable.

2. Why are the backlights on some buttons not working?

Check if the backlight is off. Press Fn + T to turn on the backlight, then press Fn + U to switch between different lighting effects. Check if different lighting modes work correctly.
The light brightness may be too low. Press the brightness function key to increase the light brightness.
Press and hold Fn + ESC for 5 seconds to restore factory settings and reset the lighting effects. Check if the lights illuminate correctly.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, remove the keycaps and switches and check the LED status. If they are not lit, it may be a hardware malfunction. Contact customer service for assistance.

3. Why are the advanced key settings not working?

Please confirm and understand the activation logic and actual function of the advanced key functions you set to prevent unsuccessful configuration.
Please confirm that the advanced key functions you set are applied to the Default Key Layer or the MAC key layer. You can also try restoring your keyboard to factory settings and then re-setting the advanced key functions.
You can use a keyboard testing tool to verify whether the set advanced key functions are working correctly to prevent malfunctions caused by settings conflicts within certain software.

4. Why is there a difference between the backlight color adjusted via the driver and the actual displayed color on my Mix 87 keyboard?

This is a normal physical phenomenon and not a product malfunction; please use it with confidence.

The main reason for the color difference is that the lightbox casing, in order to achieve its unique appearance and texture, is made of a material with a certain base color, such as blue.

When you set the light color in the driver software, the light emitted by the LED beads needs to pass through this colored casing before we can see it. This is similar to how things appear different when viewed through blue glass.

For example, when pink light passes through a blue lightbox casing, it will visually appear purplish or blue, thus creating a difference from the color you selected in the software.

5. What should I do if my keyboard experiences key slippage?

For example, the key continues to trigger even after I release it.

Perform key calibration: During calibration, press each key vertically and steadily until it bottoms out to ensure accurate calibration.
Adjust relevant parameters: If the actuation point and release sensitivity are set too low, key dropouts are likely to occur. Increase these values appropriately.
Stability mode and RTsmart: Enabling stability mode and increasing the RTsmart setting improves keyboard stability and effectively prevents key dropouts.
Change the host interface and data cable: If the key dropout problem is intermittent, try a different USB port on your computer, preferably a rear USB 3.0/3.1 port or a USB hub with independent power.
Update firmware: Outdated firmware may cause compatibility issues, leading to key dropouts.
Manually re-flash the firmware: Press and hold Esc + Left Ctrl keys simultaneously, then unplug and replug the data cable to ensure the keyboard is off-light. Then re-enter the driver. Once in the device, you will be prompted to upgrade the firmware; click upgrade to re-flash the firmware.

6. What should I do if my keyboard connection drops?

Try testing with a different computer port. Avoid using a docking station; plug it into a USB 3.0 port on the back of the computer.
Open the driver and enter the settings interface. Then, actively shake the data cable plugged into the keyboard port to see if the connection drops.
If it disconnects, test with a different data cable. If it recovers, you can request a replacement data cable.
If it does not disconnect but the issue persists, it may be related to the keyboard's USB-C port. Please contact customer service for further assistance.

7. What can I do if I experience frame drops when playing games using a magnetic keyboard?

The keyboard has no direct relationship with in-game FPS. The keyboard is simply an input device. The input key signals are transmitted to the computer via USB, and then processed by the operating system and the game. It does not directly affect the game's rendering or graphics calculations. Therefore, using the keyboard will not cause a decrease in FPS.

8. Is the button experiencing double-click/triple-click behavior?

Go to the driver software's Performance Settings page and enable the Key Repeated Click Optimization function. This function can optimize unexpected repeated keystrokes.
Go to the driver software's Trigger Settings page and manually calibrate the keys using the key calibration function.

9. How to fix the issue where the Win key and Alt key have swapped functions?

If you encounter issues with the Win and Alt keys not working or malfunctioning, it might be due to switching between your keyboard's operating mode, Windows or macOS. You can resolve this by switching back to the correct system mode.

Press Fn + O to switch to Windows system mode.
Press Fn + P to switch to macOS system mode.

10. Why can't I select or set a 16K polling rate on my Linux system?

Driver compatibility issues: The Mix 87 high polling rate function requires specific driver support, and Linux systems may lack official driver adaptations.
USB interface protocol limitations: High polling rate relies on the bandwidth of USB 3.0 and above interfaces, but Linux's implementation of the USB protocol stack may cause the device to be identified as USB 2.0 mode.
System power management interference: Linux's USB power management strategy may forcibly reduce device performance, causing the polling rate to automatically degrade.

11. What should I do if the firmware update fails?

If using the web-based driver, please refresh the page, reconnect your keyboard, and try updating the driver again, or try using a different browser.
If using the PC client driver, please close the driver software running in the background, reconnect your keyboard, and try updating the driver software again.
If you are unable to update after multiple attempts, it may be due to server overload or other issues. Please try again at another time.

12. What should I do if I can't access device settings, see a white screen or spinning circle, or the connection is unstable and keeps disconnecting after the keyboard is connected to the driver?

Ensure the keyboard and computer's USB port are securely connected. Try a different port or cable. Connect directly to the computer; do not use an external docking station.
Force driver update: Press and hold Esc to unplug and replug the data cable. An update window will pop up; click it. After the update is complete, reconnect the driver.
When setting the polling rate or performing firmware updates in the driver, the keyboard will automatically restart. Disconnection during this time is normal; wait approximately 5 seconds for it to automatically reconnect.

13. How do I configure SOCD?

Bind two keys and trigger based on priority rules.
