MCHOSE Mix 87 M HUB Guide

This guide explains how to connect your MCHOSE Mix 87 magnetic switch keyboard to M HUB, configure trigger and performance settings, manage onboard profiles, remap keys, create macros, customize lighting, update firmware, and restore factory settings.

M HUB Desktop Driver vs. Web Driver

For regular configuration and firmware updates, the M HUB Desktop Driver is recommended. Use the Web Driver when you prefer browser-based access without installing the desktop application.

Connect with the M HUB Driver

Connection Steps

1. Connect the keyboard via wire; keyboard brightness indicates a successful connection.
2. Open the client driver, ensure a stable network connection, and wait approximately 3 seconds for the device to be recognized.

Note: Please keep the connection cable directly connected to the computer host interface, and do not connect it through an external expansion dock.

M HUB Connection Steps

1. Connect your keyboard to your computer, open the web driver, and click Allow browser access.
2. In the pop-up window, select the Device Name you want to connect to, and click Connect to enter the driver settings page.

Note: Due to browser compatibility issues, it is recommended to use Chrome or Edge browsers to open the web driver.

Button Switching Notification

Setup Steps

Go to the PC driver settings page and enable key switch notification. After enabling this function, switching between uppercase and lowercase will be indicated by pop-up bubbles in the numeric keypad, including notifications for enabling and disabling Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock.

Key Testing Tool

Entering the driver settings page and clicking Go to Test will redirect you to the web key press test page, where you can begin testing the key functions.

Onboard Configuration

What Is Onboard Configuration?

With M HUB, save all your personalized settings, such as macros, key mappings, lighting effects, trigger travel, etc., to your keyboard.

Core Advantages

Plug and play, driverless: After saving the settings to the onboard configuration, you can take the keyboard to any computer and use it. No driver software installation is required.

Firmware Support

Upgrade the firmware to the latest version to use the multi-board configuration function. It supports all magnetic switch keyboards except Zero75 and Zero75S, and mechanical keyboards K87S, G87 V2, and G75 V2.

Onboard Configuration and Inactive Configuration Introduction

Onboard Configuration

Onboard configurations are stored on the keyboard and will persist even after switching computers or browsers.

Note: Some onboard features may not be available on certain firmware versions.

In the key remapping settings, bind the Switch Onboard function to any key and select Apply to all onboard devices.

Press the bound Switch Onboard key to switch configurations without opening the driver.

Inactive Configuration

Inactive configurations are only used for parameter presets and will not be synchronized to other browsers or computers. To use them, please move them to the Onboard Configuration to load them onto the keyboard.

Creating Configurations and Exporting/Importing

Click the Create button. The Beginner, FPS, and Extreme configurations are official preset parameters that can be directly selected and used.

• Export: Hover your mouse over ... and select Export. The export format is a JSON file.

• Import: Select a JSON file of the same model to import.

How to Generate and Use Configuration Codes

1. Move the mouse over ... and select Generate Configuration Code.

1. Select Import Configuration Code.
2. Paste the configuration code into the box.
3. Select the storage location and click OK.

Note: Configuration codes do not support cross-device import.

Layout Changes

• The original title of Dead Zone Settings has been changed to Advanced Settings.
• The original Rage Mode section on the Performance Settings page has been removed; Rage Mode is now located where Dead Zone Settings used to be.
• The entry point for Dead Zone Settings is now at the top.
• A sensitivity input box has been added, allowing users to enter values.
• A Restore Defaults button has been added; the Set Global button has been removed.

Other

The MIX87 series/ZERO75X no longer distinguishes between game mode and office mode.

Note: Onboard functions cannot be switched within the driver software on the ZERO75X; they can only be switched via physical buttons. Onboard functions cannot be deleted, only replaced.

Lighting Settings

You can change different lighting effects in the lighting settings, and set custom lighting effect modes, colors, speeds, and brightness.

To turn off the lights, click the switch to the right of Lighting Effects. Alternatively, press the shortcut Fn + T to turn the backlight on or off.

The Ace68 Turbo allows you to adjust the lightbox effects within the driver software.

Note: Speed and brightness cannot be changed in custom mode.

RGB Color Reference

Hex indicates hexadecimal. RGB indicates standard RGB code.

The following are some commonly used color codes; the colors are for reference only.

Some colors may vary slightly due to light refraction, switch backlighting, etc., which is normal.

Trigger Settings

Setup Steps

1. Select Configuration: Only custom configurations can be modified. When selecting the default preset configurations of Beginner Configuration, FPS Configuration, and Extreme Configuration, the system will override the preset parameters in the custom parameters, which can then be modified.
2. Select Keys: Parameters can be modified globally or individually for specific keys.
3. Modify Parameters: The trigger travel, quick trigger, and dead zone parameters can be customized. Moving the mouse over the corresponding parameter setting area will display information about that parameter for all keys.

Key Remapping Settings

Modify Key Value

Select the key value you want to modify, and drag it directly to the corresponding key to complete the modification.

You can click the Restore All Defaults button to restore the default key values of all keys with one click.

Default Button Layer

Windows system operation mode:

The basic keyboard function layer triggers the most frequently used default key functions when a key is pressed. No additional key combinations are needed.

For example, dragging Q onto Z will activate Q's function when Z is pressed, disabling the original Z. You can customize and modify all characters or macro functions for each key.

Fn1 Key Layer

Shortcut key functions in Windows system mode:

You need to press and hold the Fn key + another key to trigger the function, which is usually related to keyboard settings adjustments, multimedia controls, or special shortcuts.

Example: Pressing Fn + N/M adjusts the volume.

Mac Layer

macOS system operating mode:

When switching to macOS, the key bindings are displayed based on this layer. This is the basic function layer of the keyboard, where pressing a key triggers the most frequently used default key functions. No additional key combinations are needed to activate these functions.

Fn3 Key Layer

Shortcut key functions in macOS system mode:

You need to remap a key to FN3. Pressing and holding Fn3 + another key will trigger its function, typically related to keyboard settings adjustments, multimedia controls, or special shortcuts.

For example: In the default key layer, drag Fn2/3 to the W key. Pressing the W key will activate Fn2/3, disabling the original W key. In the FN2/3 key layer, drag Z to the Q key. Now, pressing W (Fn2/3) + Q will activate Z.

Macro Recording

On the right side of the key remapping settings page, there are 16 preset macro recording paths. Clicking the edit button will take you to the recording interface.

On the edit page, you can modify the macro command name, change the loop type, reset, or save.

After recording, save the macro. Drag the macro command to the corresponding key to trigger it.

Advanced Keys

RS Advanced Key Function

This function activates only the specified key. For example, if you bind the A and D keys, and press the A key more deeply than the D key, then the A key will be activated, while the D key will not. If both keys are pressed all the way down, then both keys will be activated.

SOCD Advanced Key Functions

Bind two selected keys, trigger one of the keys according to the set trigger rules, or cancel each other out when both keys are pressed at the same time, so that no key is triggered.

Dynamic Key Travel (DKS)

Dynamic Key Travel (DKS) is a feature that allows users to adjust the actuation sensitivity of a single key to achieve up to four functions. Simply put, by setting the actuation range of a key, you can determine how deeply the key travels to trigger different functions or actions.

MT Advanced Key Functions

You can trigger two functions on a single key by pressing and clicking the key.

TGL Function

After binding a trigger key, clicking the key activates continuous triggering, and clicking it again deactivates continuous triggering. This function eliminates the need to manually hold down the key for continuous triggering. A long press triggers the function normally.

Performance Settings

Polling Rate Settings: Switching the polling rate can reduce the keyboard's theoretical latency. The Mix87 offers 1K, 2K, 4K and 8K polling rates.

Rampage Mode: When enabled, if the keyboard's performance supports it, the rapid actuation (RT) can be set to 0.01mm/0.005mm/0.001mm.

Adaptive Dynamic Calibration: It is recommended to always enable this function. With this enabled, each key press will automatically calibrate the keyboard. The more keys pressed, the higher the calibration accuracy. If the switch type has not been changed, manual calibration is not required.

WIN Key Lock: Locks the Win key to prevent accidental presses. Pressing Fn+Win also quickly locks the Win key. This is ineffective on macOS.

Stability Mode: Extreme parameter touch drop can activate the stability mode optimization algorithm to improve keyboard stability.

Other Settings

Check and update the keyboard firmware version.

A one-click factory reset will restore all keyboard settings, including trigger parameters and key remapping settings, and make them invalid.
