This troubleshooting guide helps you fix common issues with the MCHOSE Jet 75 keyboard, including unresponsive keys, repeated inputs, backlight problems, driver connection issues, firmware update failures, and advanced key settings such as SOCD and DKS.
Before following the steps below, we recommend connecting the keyboard directly to your computer with the original USB cable. Avoid using USB hubs or docking stations during troubleshooting, as they may affect connection stability.
1. How do I fix keys that are not working or not responding?
If some keys malfunction or do not respond when pressed, please try the following steps:
- Press and hold Fn + Esc for 5 seconds to reset the keyboard, then test the keys again.
- Open M HUB, go to Other Settings, check for firmware updates, and update the keyboard to the latest firmware version.
- Go to Trigger Settings in M HUB and manually calibrate the affected key.
- Use a keycap puller to remove the affected keycap and switch. Check whether the switch can be pressed normally. Replace it with a spare switch, calibrate the key again in M HUB, and test it.
- Try another USB port on your computer. We recommend connecting the keyboard directly to the computer instead of using a docking station. You can also try another USB cable.
Note: The Jet 75 package includes two spare switches.
2. What should I do if a key double-clicks, repeats input, or triggers automatically?
If you experience double-clicking, repeated keystrokes, or automatic key activation when the key is not being pressed, the issue may be related to sensitive trigger settings, calibration status, magnetic interference, or external pressure.
- Open M HUB > Other Settings, check for firmware updates, and update to the latest firmware version.
- Go to Trigger Settings and perform key calibration for the affected key.
- Open Performance Settings in M HUB and enable Keystroke Optimization. This feature helps reduce unexpected repeated inputs.
- Check whether there are any metal objects near the keyboard. Metal objects may cause magnetic interference. Remove them, unplug the keyboard, and reconnect it.
- Do not place the Jet 75 directly on top of a laptop keyboard while using it. Pressure or interference from the laptop keyboard may affect input behavior.
- Remove the affected keycap and switch. Check whether the switch works normally. Replace it with a spare switch, calibrate the key again in M HUB, and test it.
3. What should I do if a key does not spring back after being pressed?
- Remove the keycap and switch, then check whether there is dust, debris, or any foreign object blocking the key area.
- Test the key again with a spare switch.
- For larger keys such as the Spacebar, Shift, Enter, and Backspace, check the stabilizers. These keys use stabilizers with lubricant to support smooth pressing and rebound.
- If the stabilizers feel dry, adding a small amount of suitable keyboard lubricant may help restore normal performance.
If you are not sure how to check or lubricate the stabilizers, please contact MCHOSE Support for assistance.
4. How do I calibrate the keys?
The Jet 75 supports adaptive calibration, which is enabled by default. Each keypress helps the keyboard automatically calibrate key accuracy. With regular use, key precision should remain stable and accurate.
To manually calibrate keys in M HUB:
- Open M HUB.
- Go to Trigger Settings.
- Select the key you want to calibrate.
- Start calibration and press the key as instructed.
During calibration, you may need to press the key multiple times until calibration is successful. This is normal.
You can check the key color status to confirm the calibration result:
- Blue: The key has been successfully calibrated.
- Yellow: The key was triggered, but calibration was not successful. Continue pressing until it turns blue.
- Gray: The key was not triggered. Continue pressing until it turns blue.
5. What should I do if the Win and Alt keys are swapped?
If the Win and Alt keys are not working as expected, the keyboard may be in the wrong operating system mode. Switch the keyboard back to the correct mode:
- Fn + O: Switch to Windows mode
- Fn + P: Switch to macOS mode
6. What should I do if the backlight of some keys is not working?
- Press Fn + D to switch lighting modes and check whether the backlight works in different lighting effects.
- The brightness may be too low. Press Fn + A to increase the brightness.
- Press and hold Fn + Esc for 5 seconds to restore factory settings, then check the lighting again.
- If the issue remains, remove the keycap and switch, then check whether the LED is lighting up.
If the LED does not light up, it may be a hardware issue. Please contact MCHOSE Support for assistance.
7. How do I fix keyboard disconnections during use?
- Make sure the keyboard firmware is up to date.
- Check whether the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
- Unplug and reconnect the cable, then test again.
- Try another USB cable or USB port to check connection stability.
- Avoid using external docking stations or USB hubs during troubleshooting. For the most stable connection, connect the keyboard directly to your computer.
- If possible, test the keyboard on another computer. This helps rule out issues caused by an unstable USB port, insufficient power supply, or computer-side compatibility problems.
8. What should I do if M HUB shows a white screen, keeps loading, or disconnects after connection?
- Make sure the keyboard and the computer USB port are securely connected.
- Try another USB port or cable.
- Connect the keyboard directly to the computer. Do not use an external docking station or USB hub.
- To force a driver update, press and hold Esc, then unplug and reconnect the USB cable. When the update window appears, click it and complete the update.
- After the update is complete, reconnect the keyboard to M HUB.
When changing the polling rate or updating firmware in M HUB, the keyboard may automatically restart. Temporary disconnection during this process is normal. Please wait about 5 seconds for the keyboard to reconnect automatically.
9. What should I do if M HUB cannot recognize the connected keyboard?
- Make sure the keyboard and computer USB port are securely connected.
- Try another USB port or USB cable.
- Connect the keyboard directly to the computer instead of using an external docking station or USB hub.
- Restart M HUB and try again.
- You can also try the web-based M HUB driver: https://www.mchose.store/pages/mchose-hub
For the web-based driver, we recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for better compatibility.
If the web-based driver cannot recognize the keyboard, check your browser privacy permissions. In Google Chrome, go to:
Menu (...) > Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Additional Permissions > HID Devices
Then allow HID device connection permission and reconnect the keyboard.
10. What should I do if the firmware update fails?
- If you are using the web-based M HUB driver, refresh the page, reconnect the keyboard, and try updating again.
- You can also try another supported browser, such as Chrome or Edge.
- If you are using the PC client version of M HUB, fully close the software, including any background process. Then reconnect the keyboard and try updating again.
- If the update still fails after multiple attempts, it may be caused by temporary server overload or network instability. Please try again later.
11. What should I do if a key keeps triggering after I release it?
If a key continues to trigger after being released, try the following steps:
- Perform key calibration. During calibration, press each key vertically and steadily until it bottoms out to ensure accurate calibration.
- Adjust trigger parameters. If the actuation point or release sensitivity is set too low, unintended triggering may occur. Increase these values appropriately and test again.
- Enable Stability Mode and adjust RTsmart. Enabling Stability Mode and increasing the RTsmart value can improve input stability and help prevent unintended triggering.
- Try another USB port or cable. If the issue happens intermittently, try a different USB port on your computer. A direct rear USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 port is recommended.
- Update the firmware. Outdated firmware may cause compatibility issues that affect key input behavior.
- Manually re-flash the firmware. Press and hold Esc + Left Ctrl, then unplug and reconnect the USB cable. Make sure the keyboard lighting is off, then open M HUB again. After the device is detected, you should be prompted to upgrade the firmware. Click upgrade to re-flash the firmware.
12. How do I configure SOCD?
SOCD allows you to bind two keys and control how inputs are triggered based on priority rules.
- Open M HUB.
- Go to the advanced key settings page.
- Select SOCD.
- Bind two keys.
- Select the preferred priority mode.
- Save the settings and test the key response.
Available SOCD modes include:
- Last Input Wins: The most recent input takes priority.
- Key 1 Priority: Key 1 takes priority when both keys are pressed.
- Key 2 Priority: Key 2 takes priority when both keys are pressed.
-
Cancel Both: Both inputs are neutralized when the two keys are pressed at the same time.
13. How do I set up DKS?
DKS allows one key to trigger up to four different functions based on different press depth zones.
- Open M HUB.
- Go to the advanced key settings page.
- Select DKS.
- Bind one key.
- Add 1 to 4 actions for that key.
- Set the press depth range for each action.
- Save the settings and test the key response.
