MCHOSE keyboards may support keycap and switch replacement, but compatibility depends on the keyboard type and model. Before replacing any switches, please confirm whether your keyboard uses mechanical switches or magnetic switches.
For safety and warranty reasons, we do not recommend replacing or modifying internal parts that require disassembly, such as the keyboard case, internal foam, plate, PCB, or other internal structure components. Improper disassembly or modification may damage the product or affect warranty coverage.
Mechanical Keyboards
For MCHOSE mechanical keyboards, compatible mechanical switches and keycaps can usually be replaced if the model supports hot-swapping.
Before replacing switches, please make sure the replacement switch is compatible with your keyboard’s socket and layout. Installing incompatible switches or forcing switches into the socket may damage the PCB or switch socket.
Magnetic Switch Keyboards
MCHOSE magnetic switch keyboards only support compatible 2-pin magnetic switches. They do not support standard 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches.
For example, models such as the MIX 87 Series and ACE 60 Series use magnetic switches and should only be used with compatible magnetic switches.
When replacing magnetic switches, please check the following:
- The switch is a compatible magnetic switch
- The switch is a 2-pin magnetic switch
- The magnetic pole direction is correct
- For the MIX 87 Series, we recommend using the original Magnetic Switch or other compatible magnetic switches commonly available on the market
- The magnet should face downward, with the N pole facing down
Using incompatible switches may cause abnormal triggering, calibration issues, or keyboard malfunction.
Parts We Do Not Recommend Replacing
Keycaps and compatible switches can usually be replaced if supported by the keyboard model. However, we do not recommend replacing or modifying parts that require keyboard disassembly, including:
- Keyboard case
- Internal foam
- Plate
- PCB
- Internal structure parts
- Other non-user-serviceable components
Disassembling or modifying these parts may cause product damage, abnormal function, or warranty issues.
Warranty Notice
Replacing compatible keycaps or compatible switches normally does not affect warranty coverage, as long as the replacement is done correctly and does not damage the product.
However, the following situations may affect warranty coverage:
- Using incompatible switches
- Installing switches incorrectly
- Damaging the PCB, socket, magnetic sensor, or other internal parts during replacement
- Disassembling or modifying the keyboard without authorization
- Replacing internal parts such as the case, foam, plate, or PCB
- Using non-official parts that cause malfunction or damage
For magnetic switch keyboards, please use compatible magnetic switches only. If you are not sure whether a switch is compatible, please contact MCHOSE Support before replacing it.
Warranty coverage may vary by product model or product page policy. Please refer to the official warranty policy or product page for the final warranty terms.
Before Replacing Switches
Before replacing switches, please check the following:
- Confirm whether your keyboard is a mechanical switch keyboard or a magnetic switch keyboard.
- Confirm the supported switch type for your exact keyboard model.
- Do not install standard mechanical switches into magnetic switch keyboards.
- For magnetic switches, check the pin type and magnetic pole direction.
- Remove and install switches carefully to avoid damaging the socket, PCB, or magnetic sensor.
- After replacing magnetic switches, recalibrate the keyboard in the driver if needed.
- Contact MCHOSE Support if you are unsure about compatibility.
